Green Goblin

@MattK Ive got a SandyLake going too. Its showing me big finger leaves as a vigorously growing rooted cutting. It will be interesting to see how close it gets grouped with Adriatic family, I have feeling it will be an outlayer to the family like Green Michurinska
I'm not sure some pictures show a light pink and others red. I did add woodland green from Marta too but not sure if it is common.

If I plan on evaluating all these adriatic figs to determine any differences how long is a good comparison? I'm thinking 3-5 years

I have Green Michurinska in ground and it is a lot earlier, but it doesn't quite have the punch of berry flavor that other Adriatics have. It is similar, but not quite. It is like...Adriatic adjacent? Adriaticish?

It tastes great and it is very early. Plus it seems to be quite cold hardy. I really do love that fig. It's the closest thing yet to the one holy grail we all want...and early Adriatic.

Yea I agree...it is close, like an Adriatic cousin...lol

But lacks the strong flavor like you said.
Not a full blown Adriatic but a really good fig and early! :)

I rooted two Green Michurinska cuttings last year and one was single node cutting and produced figs but was late, didn't ripe. Hopefully this year I will taste it.

I recently scraped both my knees begging Padsfan for a couple of cuttings. All of you have spoken up about the similarity of this variety to the flavor, look, and the ripening date of WM #1, and other adriatics . My attraction to Green Goblin has nothing to do with this. I mean yes it being early is attractive. But it's not like those other varieties. It's productivity is absolutely astonishing. The look is completely unique. The way it ripens a great number of figs so close together. So many things about this wonderful Green Goblin variety attracts me. It's sheer Beauty does make It really appear quite unique. I am growing these other figs, but honestly Green Goblin seems like a miracle of productivity, and a marvel beautiful to behold. If I compare her to a woman it's quite clear I have a crush on her. She's just not like the other girls I know.
I think I need to befriend Padsfan too so that I will scrape both knees and elbows lol.

I acquired your Iranian candy cutting when the Vince #3 died, about a month ago. Sadly I do not have the other variety,
Green Mirchurinska. It took almost a month to gather up my courage to tell you the Vince# 3 had died.

I have Green Goblin rooting now, and it is doing well. About 8 weeks along, and we'll see how it does in GA.
Mine is at about the same stage. I got a couple of real logs.... very hefty.... Normally big ones don't root so quickly but GG is quite eager. I have loads of root and leaf growth.

One thing.... There seems to be plenty of humidy in the pops still but I want to feed it.... I want to find a way to add food with minimal water.

I'll post some pics tomorrow. It's an impressive fig for me so far.

It was eager to sprout and grow for me too. The leaves are indicating mine needs some fertilizer, which I've started as a weak dose. I have two strong branches. It does want to grow!

A syringe with liquid fertilizer can be used to inject into the pop. Like those food flavor injectors.
I have some of these that were for refilling inkjet print cartridges. I'm tryng to decide if I should go with higher strength to use less water (that I don't need) or lower concentration of fert to be safe.

Because it's growing so well I need to figure out a way to feed it without adding too much water.

I’d start with a lower concentration to prevent burning that new root growth.
