Yes, split and sour easily. All great looking figs.
Have you been experiencing the same perfect weather we are having in NJ right now - warm and dry? Does Figue Juane have a tendency to split with the open eye?

Yes, I’ve tried covering just the pot before. But now I just let nature at it. I’ve come to the fact that Sometimes I will get perfectly ripe figs and sometimes I don’t.I posted a pic of a Smith fig and stated that the sweetness wasnt as intense due to rainy weather. A member suggested covering the plants with clear plastic. I guess that should work with fig splitting varieties.

Black Celeste ripening well-
Pastiliere (RT) one of my favorites is starting to ripen in numbers.
Mines fairly young. Got it last year I think and the rabbits tore it up in fall before storage. I would say it’s average vigor for me.How has this one been for you in terms of vigor? Mine's been growing really slowly and limp.
where do you rank Tiger on 5 point taste scale?8/13
LSU Tiger main crop
LSU Tiger has shown great production and split resistance and a good size for me. Taste wise I would give it a 3.8 - 4 for me.where do you rank Tiger on 5 point taste scale?
