Get ready for some Fig P0rn
I-258 Breba - Knock your socks off good- Always one of my top tasting Breba. Strong Berry with top sweetness and syrupy goodness that just melts with every bite. You start salivating before even eating it.
Pellegrino Breba - this one was in my greenhouse again where I have them too much water. Well this monster has a brother still hanging. I’ll let that one go without water for a few days. This was still decent, just not as sweet as it should’ve been.

The Breba are definitely more elongated and a bit larger. Taste was hard to compare since this one was slightly watered down. I’ll know better after the second one ripens in a few days.

7/19/2025 Well it’s happened…... My Breba are winding down…and Main Crop has begun!!!
Iranian Candy takes

Squishy soft but still has a little texture and not just straight mush. Has a light seed crunch and sweet as honey insides that lingers in the mouth even after a swig of water!

So you’ll end up eating fresh figs from June 23 to frost in Maryland. Not too bad - actually pretty darn great!

Over the years do you notice that main crop ripens a set time after breba are harvested?
Your main crop of Iranian Candy has started to ripen ~4 weeks after your breba crop. In previous years I observed this ~4-week timeframe to be true on several varieties, but my record keeping is less than sub-par.

I keep records of main crops but not as much with the Breba. So far Breba ripening on the same tree hasn’t affected the main crop ripening times. They have been on par the course.
