Did everyone get what you wanted

Anyone growing Wilsons Coyote Rainbow? sounded interesting except for the open eye.
I’m one of the original testers so I got my tree in Sept 2023. I loved the color of the fig and have caprifigs so I could hand pollinate if needed.

Unfortunately, this tree hasn’t grown well for me. This is when it arrived (Sept 15, 2023)

This is a year later (9/18/2024)

And when it was stored for the season (11/27/2024).

It’s had the same fertilizer/watering routine so not sure why it hasn’t responded well. My suspicion is that if trees don’t get off to a quick start, they struggle. I no longer add trees in the Fall because they don’t have time to really grow that first year before dormancy.

Nina I would trim the vertical stem down to the right scaffold and stake it so it will grow as a single stem. All the energy would go to that leader. IMO good luck.

Yep, dropped all figs last season. Hoping it will hold some next season. Got it directly from Ryan, who found it. My tree made decent growth in its first season. Around 5ft, before I headed it for scaffold training. Figs had a pronounced red eye, even while small and green.

I was in the grow room pruning some of my trees, and time passed by so fast. I wanted IBG, and De La Gloria.
If anyone has extra and wants to trade, I can try to make it worthwhile.
BMKK, Martinenca Rimada (Harvey), Martinenca De Minor (Dave Foster), Paratjal Rimada, Violet Sepor, Bourjassotte Noir, Smith, YLN, Hollier, and other varieties.

That surely is a typo...

We got some to test that out. It seems a bit unlikely to be that cold hardy in protected, but even 0F here would be plenty hardy.
We have an UNK. Of our own here that so far looks like it has survived above ground unprotected this winter. We have been in the high single digits so far.

I got Bass's Favorite, Italian 215, and DTE (which I rooted last year and then it died when I up potted). I'm already overloaded with scions from the CA Rare Fruit Growers scion exchanges, but can't resist Harvey's sale each year. Anybody growing BFF in N CA? It just looks great in Harvey's video, and really large. I have some very tasty figs, but none I would say are large or really large. I'm in the cooler part of the East Bay near Oakland, and Harvey says this is a mid to late season fig, so I don't know if I'll ripen it or not, but we'll see.

For what it's worth, Bass is selling Bass' favorite right now on Figbid.
