Best Adriatic?

I have a wm#1. It is about 1 1/2 feet tall. I don't know if it will fruit next year but if I had room for only one more or two does anyone have 2 recommendations? I live in South Texas so even late ripeness are options

You could add Adriatic JH. It's place of origin is Austin Texas. I don't have it, but it's one that I want to get.

I think people should try hand pollinating Desert King. It’s a vigorous tree with great brebas. Main crop is early and amazing. It needs to be pollinated of course but worth trying in my opinion.

This is from a really young tree too, first time fruiting. It tasted like really intense freeze dried strawberry with a hint of raspberry acidity.

If I had known how good the main is, I would have planted it as my first tree. I have had caprified GM, Ischia Green, and GMdL. DK main is better than all of them. It’s not a very big fig though and zero neck, so hard to bag and pick. Waiting to try WM1.

I would have picked it up early on as well. Pretty cheap to purchase and worth every penny. I have spent a lot of money on trees that are not as good. I will be looking for your review of WM1

Welcome to the forum. I bet you have great fig ripening weather there now. I have great memories of going on trips to San Francisco with my Mom and Grandpa when I was a kid.

Is GM the fig collector Gorgi M from Malta? I found a list but it's not complete because I don't see a GM dL or was it dk? - hey is there a list of acronyms somewhere for those of us new people? I may work on one for me if there isn't. I would be glad to take any lists in private messages and compile if there isn't such a thing- I could then give it to a moderator and they could put it somewhere if it's helpful to anyone other than me... I have to look up some all the time like I never can remember what mbvs is and still not sure what the vs is.... May not be helpful to anyone but me- just a thought

GM is usually Green Michurinska. You are right though, it is also Gorgi M. Idk about dL or dk

GM with number is for figs that Georgi M collected from Malta
DK is Dessert King
