Anyone feel like marco giving you the cold shoulder?

Mentioned the guy 3 times on the other site and nada - must be on "business mode" or sumtin'.

I think his trees have been outside under burlap and he doesn't know the condition of his trees yet. He may not be able to take fresh cuttings. I could PM Marco and see if he would sell a cutting directly or someone else could. I have messaged some bidders to see if they are willing to split the cutting or cost if they win. I don't want to get into a bidding war with someone though.

YEA i am not familiar with the outdoor condition where MARCO lives . AND not into bidding wars either . Not in a hurry with this variety but at 73 maybe i should be ? BUYING GREEN BANANAS and all that .Thanks for your efforts .
 
There was a similar cost splitting offer laid out on the other Forum.
I still have an open offer to 2 winners of the auctions if they'd like a few nodes of Yellow Neches to do a comparison. I have one cutting left i can cut in half.

I posted it on both forums, It will be interesting to see which one gets more interest. I have so many figs that are the same under different names or close enough one should go with what is cheaper.
 
I don’t know why the lateral branches on the white baca cuttings are pruned so tight to the cutting? That’s going to desiccate them faster .
And potentially ruin and blind buds at that node.

I was wrong that is a different proposition than mine and I wouldn't agree to it.

I left you my phone number on our thread. I'll go in however you want. Better with the Fig Gazer. You've probably got Benjamin as well.
 
There are 4 cuttings, Im not sure with all the above proposals and not seeing any bidding if its clear who is getting what. Im interested in at least one Cutting but might as well bid on all of them so at least they are not sold to someone who is not familiar with rooting them.
 
I don't want anything in return other than finding out if it is a the same as Yellow Neches or 505H. I could or someone else could bid on the cutting. To the funded amount however I do not want to get in a bidding war. Maybe a cutoff should be set I have talked to @MJFIGS but have not placed a bid yet because I want to make sure people are committed and which one is the best for grafting I think A6 and A8. I also know the person bidding on A8 and have talked with them. I guess in time people would be able to get cuttings back. If it turns out to be 505H or Yellow Neches what then?

Quite honestly, he is not responding for good reason. He is being harrassed and even bullied to a degree to give cuttings away for free or to meet someone else’s idea of how it should be distributed. He does not have to tell anyone how much he paid for WB. People are being rude and I would not respond either. It’s gotten ridiculous. He has followed precedent.

If people want to go all in on one, that’s one thing, but all the rest… I’m just shaking my head.

I have no idea your relationship with him. 🙂 But I think all of the posts in multiple threads are blending together, and so even if you did not have that intention, being combined with the others gives it a different feel. It’s gone too far. And he’s had a lot of personal problems this last year or so with a divorce and loss of a home, etc. etc. I don’t think the timing was good for him personally to list WB but he went ahead and did it because people were asking.
