Never heard of that one either. Yall are throwing some good stuff out there! Pretty cool to see what everyone is chasing around.
Whoever wins the cutting contests is going to get some hot varieties! It's a fig nerd's dream!

Yea that’s what it seems like. That’s awesome for yall to do that for the group though. It is much appreciated for sure.Whoever wins the cutting contests is going to get some hot varieties! It's a fig nerd's dream!
Just pick any fig a bit too early and you’ll get plenty of melon flavor.Gulbun!!!! I want to know.if it really tastes like melon. I don't have it because I ran out of yard space.
I'll clear the last corner of the yard out this fall and keep my eye out for a gulbun later this year.
I'm partial to my in ground Stella. =) View attachment 5519View attachment 5520

Very good fig, but sadly, wasn't a keeper for me.
No, this one was from someone else, but my other one was from Pino actually. Both were very similar. Is that from Pino? This strain is off the hook!
They're soy sauce dishes from a local grocery here in Portland. I'll see if I can find one online.Where do you get the adorable little fig plates? I must have those!
Honestly, I've had more really good Dalmatie here than Stella. My Dalmatie look like the ones in your last pic. The strain I have i got from Pino in Niagara.
I also like Stella because it's fairly easy to find.Man yall are making me even more excited for the Stella lol.
Yes, very large goldens protecting my Sicilian 33. I swear they would betray me for a treat or some loving, and they are not lacking in either. What is my most wanted fig? Sicilian 33 has me pretty intrigued.
Why don't I have it yet? I hear those currently growing it have really big dogs!![]()
Borda B has rooted fairly well for me, and I initially got one cutting from Harvey a couple of years ago, and it was a tip cutting that grew beautifully. This year, I took a couple of cutting and both are doing well and have successfully rooted.rut roh...first I heard that BB doesnt root successfully...I have a few right in the rooting tray right now but have no idea if its doing well or not. They are all just no names right now except for a couple high dollar ones and easily identifiable ones like HdA.
I just saw this on Kremp - Pretty sure it's the same fig? https://www.kremp.com/collections/fig-trees/products/galbun-fig![]()
Gulbun Fig Tree - One Green World
Gulbun fig is a super tasty melon flavored fig that we've really enjoyed. Main crop figs are fairly early and will usually ripen here in Western Oregon.onegreenworld.com
I'll prob order from them down the line I dont want to bother trying to root one myself
I’d be interested in thoughts from everyone. To me, Dalmatie and Stella are synonyms
So for I’d be of the opinion they are the same and that Galbun is the correct spelling.I just saw this on Kremp - Pretty sure it's the same fig? https://www.kremp.com/collections/fig-trees/products/galbun-fig
This is a new one for me. I purchase sant mateu and sant Josep cuttings last fall so I’ll be excited to see what this season brings. My most wanted right now is Sant Joseph at least until I get it and then something else becomes my most wanted. LOL. That is the curse of this addiction.
No idea! All I know is my fav fig jam is dalmatie so if I can grow that fig it would be wonderfulI see your future figs description says Gulbun and Dalmatie. Is Dalmatie and Stella the same thing? Interwebs is 50/50 on it.
