I've been growing figs for more than 10+ years and have close to 250 varieties, but I only have a few to cull, and I still have a wishlist.

I need to replace Shasta Peach and Amacord. (They Didn't survive the winter last year.)

I hope to add:
Cardenillo
Figo Roxo
White Baca

You only said three, right? So I will stop there...

I could help you out with cardenillo cuttings if you're interested in trading

Thank you. That would be wonderful. Yay! Send me a PM.

I have heard good things about Manzanita and Angelito.  I have also been thinking about Black/blue Celeste, striped figs like mutante.  I will stop there cause those I have not been able to get my hands on any

The fanaticism to get top tiered figs has waned a little bit plus prices for them are outrageous. I got campaniere so that is good enough for this year. Next year, I think Green Michurinska will be the target variety.

As cutting season approaches and everyone starts making wish lists, I’m curious what special fig everyone is chasing, whether it’s a unicorn or well established favorite for others.
What 3 figs are on your wish list and why?

Green Michurinska
CDD Grise
Hollier

I have LSU Hollier.  I can send you some cuttings when my tree goes dormant.  Get with me in Feb, just to make sure I don't forget. Hopefully tree should be fully asleep.

You know after all this time of trying to get it...several years...I would still like to try Black Crimean.
I know it is a VdB type or synonym, Don't care.

But no one seem to have it anymore, or doesn't want to come off of some wood. lol

eh.  :dodgy:

@GoodFriendMike, thanks for that information.  Hope you don't mind me asking but which stripped figs have you had that split?  I also live in Louisiana.

@ktrain, thanks for sharing that info.  So MR and BNR don't split for you?

MR is just so stinkin late but not a whole lot of splitting, BNR is very young, so not tested for splitting.
TBD...

M.Rimada, P.Rimada and Panache. All split here. I do also have Popone, CDDM, and BB.rimada that some believe is the same as panache. But those three have not produced yet. I may or may not try to get the ORO's again. But I feel they will not do good here either. But I must say. When they start ripening they are all beautiful and on the rare occasion I get a good fig.

I have a copy. It’s been showing a lot of fmv though. I’ll have to see if I can get it to clear up. It hasn’t produced fruit yet either.

Ah cool, I was kicking myself when you had your big moving sale for not getting it then.
Reached out to a few people but...I guess they forgot or whatever. np
