HDA x Saleeb carifigs so I can backcross it to my HDA.
What a cool idea! I like how you think  :D
I also have some aspiring breeding projects 🤫

Mums the word  :P

It's a really big if, but I'm currently rooting two Angelito cuttings, if I'm successful with both,  I can get one out to you.

Wow! That is very kind of you! I greatly appreciate it. Don't beat yourself up over it if it does not work out though. Someone has kindly offered me cuttings as well 🙏

The fanaticism to get top tiered figs has waned a little bit plus prices for them are outrageous. I got campaniere so that is good enough for this year. Next year, I think Green Michurinska will be the target variety.

As cutting season approaches and everyone starts making wish lists, I’m curious what special fig everyone is chasing, whether it’s a unicorn or well established favorite for others.
What 3 figs are on your wish list and why?

Green Michurinska
CDD Grise
Hollier

I guess OTBP will be having his sale soon...
I need to take inventory.  Leaving them outside until the cold weather forces the sap down - we have about 2-3 weeks before our first freeze (forecast).  Once I take the cuttings, they will go into the greenhouse to wake back up - after up potting.
We (AAAJacks/FigRoots) will make our wish list then.  I'm sure we'll be adding a few  :D

I’ve been checking OTBP every day since Monday as of today still no announcement on his website.  Usually I receive an email notification of the sale date but so far not yet.

Borda barraquer looks like a good one. Yeah I love watching them grow over winter as well. I still get excited everytime I see a cutting push out a root.

I recommend Borda Barraquer. It is a great one to pick up. My tree is 2.5 years old and the couple figs I’ve had so far have been very good for a young tree.

On the list for me is Sicilian 33. Heard good things about it. Anybody else growing it? I'm keeping my list very short this year, because I have more than enough to handle...until I need just one more....

I have Sicilian Dark Unk very good fig.

I don't have any Adriatic figs because they are late ripeners so I thought I would try for Green Michurinska.  I hear it is very good and not late and similar to a Adriatic.

Vince #3 is an “Adriatic type” and quite early.

MIB & BASS FF because I saw few videos from people in my area that these 2 verities will do well in my climate. I will be culling few verities this year as well

I've been growing figs for more than 10+ years and have close to 250 varieties, but I only have a few to cull, and I still have a wishlist.

I need to replace Shasta Peach and Amacord. (They Didn't survive the winter last year.)

I hope to add:
Cardenillo
Figo Roxo
White Baca

You only said three, right? So I will stop there...

I might be able to help you out with Figo Roxo. I think I will be able to get one cutting from my tree, and I can try to root it for you. I'll need to check my tree again and follow up with you.

Oh my goodness. That would be awesome! Thank you. I am certain I will have something you might like if you would like to trade. Definately happy to do so. Hit me up!
