Welcome... everyone!

Socorro Black, Black Manzanita, NdSC, Celeste, Sodus Sicilian, Orphan, YLN, JFE Black Madeira Not, CLBC, some LSU figs(Purple, Gold, ICON, Hollier, and Tiger), VdS, Kazery, White Adriatic, Emerald Strawberry, CdD Ciutat, Rubado, LdA, Dalmatie, RLBV, Crozes, Rasberry Latte, Texas Everbearing, White Texas Everbearing, GE Neri, Zaffiro, Lilla, Exquisito, Thermalito, Gabriela Unk., Julie's, Navid's Dark Greek Unk., Smith, Shasta Peach, Wuhan, Sweet Joy, Alma, Violeta, Campaniere, Popone, I-258, and an unknown fig from cuttings I took from my mother's garden. Most are young , started last fall or during winter, but quite a lot have figlets so I'm hoping to get to try some this summer and fall. Hollier has one nearly ripe now. It had one on 3/30 that got knocked off so I tried it and even though I think it was days away from being ripe, it was very, very sweet.
Lots of really good varieties in that list.
An excellent start towards your 100+ trees you'll have soon. 😂

@Clickswithdogs Wow that is a wonderful collection I think I lost count somewhere over 30 varieties, but I've never been that good at math. It looks like 46 different varieties, which is amazing congratulations
I'm not sure how many either. I lost a few varieties as cuttings, but learned some things, too. Like never, ever putting anything else in the room that might even remotely harbor fungus gnats. :(

Edited to add Dominick's and Atreano.

Hello everyone, Thanks for the warm welcome!
I have found this forum/ community, while doing research on figpops. Just got infected with the fig virus early this year. Made some hardwood cuttings that are starting to root and grow some leaves. Needed to know how to continue with this stage of cutting. Living in the South-West of the Netherlands. I didn't know Ficus carica has so many obsessed enthusiasts. Hoping to have some backup when I have some Fig related questions.
I'm new as well, and have never tried figpops, but I'm sure someone in this delightful place can help you with any and all questions. Is that your dog in your profile picture? He or she is gorgeous!

Seedlings! Very impressive!

Cuttings you say? Stay tuned. We have a little program for new members... We got a bunch of cuttings donated to the forum and giving them away for cost of shipping. Like $11.

You should be hearing from a member by the name of Figless pretty soon. He's handling the distribution. Let me know if you don't inside a week. I think he's travelling to his grandsons graduation.

In the mean time, please make yourself at home. We like to have a lot of fun... but I think you'll find the experience here pretty amazing. Especially when it comes to the really specific things like seedling, caprifigs and non carica etc. :)

That sounds really awesome, I can't wait to see what is donated! Just picked up some root growth hormone and some buddy tape for the first time.

I have a propagation student from the Netherlands that was from a Facebook group. Maybe I can get in touch with them as well. We kind of lost touch when I joined FigFanatic. It would be nice to have a Netherlands membership section. There are always tips, sources, and gatherings that can and should be shared with one another. After all @TorontoJoe told me when I joined that.

"Binnenkort zouden we leden hebben van over de hele wereld, en we zouden ervoor zorgen dat ze zich hier bij ons thuis zouden voelen".

"Soon we would have members from all over the world, and we would make sure they felt at home here with us."

As an addendum to my short introduction yesterday, the start of my fig adventure. It started with the purchase of some hardwood cuttings in Germany and the Netherlands. Instead of wrapping them in wax tape/ parafilm, I dipped the upper 2/3 of the cutting in special wax for the treatment of scions, used in tree nurseries. The treated cuttings were in the fridge from February 1st until April 1st.
