Welcome... everyone!

@superdave336 This looks indeed like regular grafting wax. But it has different caracteristics from the wax, i dipped mij cuttings in. Mine is thin like "water" when heated. Yours will be like a thick sirup and "elastic" And wil only be used at the rootstock-scion connection, covering the cutting section only and the top of the scion. my dipwax comes in ~4lbs plates.

Does it have a name? Where would one purchase this at? Thanks

I'm not sure how many either. I lost a few varieties as cuttings, but learned some things, too. Like never, ever putting anything else in the room that might even remotely harbor fungus gnats. :(

You cannot make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. But a lot of those premium premix soils we all love come infected with fungal flies right from the hydroponics store. I recommend treating with 2 teaspoons of Gnatrol per gallon as soon as you open a bag. Then another teaspoon per gallon mixed with 1/2 strength of the weakest synthetic fertilizer you might wish to use. This can be done twice you shouldn't have any problem with fungal flies after that.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't have Gnatrol at the time, so I used what I had on hand: Mosquito Bits in water, plus sticky traps for the adults. It worked pretty well, but Gnatrol is probably better, and I think lasts longer.
And I get cuttings, too?! Wow, that's an unexpected gift! Thank you! I replied to the DM, but I know it's a late response, so if you're already out, please don't worry about it.
And my apologies for the long delay; it's been a little crazy here .
