Welcome... everyone!

Thank you! I am a 64 y/o widowed Chattanooga resident(4 grown male offspring), and was given a 24" sapling about 3 weeks ago(bare root), and got it into the ground as soon as the farmer's almanac moon went into a productive day. I am a little scared that it's not doing well. I didn't cut it back by half when I planted it. Should I do that, or just wait? Thanks for any advice.
