Hi guys - so glad to be here - just hoping anyone out there seeing this with some good ideas for cold tolerant and perhaps "lesser known varieties" might point me in the right direction for growing in western NC mountains - we are right on the 7a/7b line and lost all we planted last year that we "thought" would be ok to overwinter in our area. That being said all the heavy rain and damage we got w Hurricane Helene last fall likley didnt help unfortunately.
