Here we have a Breba Palermo rosso weighing in at 74g. It was ready with no sap flow when picked. Wife and kids saw me pick the fig so I decided to split this baby in four lol. Anyway we all agreed it had a light sugary pearish flavour to it. It was quite refreshing, I just wished I could have a whole one lol but sharing is caring folks.

Looks great, please share main crop pics when you have them

Bryant dark breba - wow what a fig! I couldn’t believe it it was hiding in the back and i remembered leaving it thinking its a dud but then as I'm looking in around the tree a fully ripened breba appears. The breba was so perfect that now I wanna try to produce some of its breba. Very sweet and jammy. If I can produce this crop I’d be so happy. I might have to build a bigger box this year this way every other year I can produce brebas. i can down size the box and upsize for breba depending on the pruning year. I have to say this was a really damn good breba.

That dog isn't even going to go outside to pee until she gets a piece of that first. She trusts no one. 🤣😂

Yesterday was the beginning of my first main crop.
Rbd and smith very small but very nice and tasty. Let’s see what this season brings for me. I got a nice I258 swelling up with syrup juicing out 🤤

I258 - Man oh man what a fig! Perfect 👌 to the taste with a punch of berries. It was slightly water logged from yesterdays heavy rain fall but damn that syrup was exquisitely delightful to my taste buds. Hope I’ll get to enjoy more of these in the next coming weeks. They seem to ripening but I just have to be patient with the hang time, had this one hanging for a least 6-7 days from the beginning of the swelling and different change of color.

I can't wait to get my 1st I258. I've never had a top tier fig. How is the eating experience compared to BM types?

It looks like it could ripen for a couple more days. Vito. It will be even more amazing then.

You are right but the 3 days of rain was just making it split and it looked like the splitting was beginning to happen. .
Gotcha. I noticed an interesting thing with my I-258. Most figs seem fine, and a handful would split no matter what. I had one split 4 ways in the middle of July when there was no rain. Maybe because of heavy watering? But then why only one split? A few had tiny splits at the eye, but the rest were fine. Same thing last year as far as I recall.

After such a hot, dry summer... the last two days shocked everything... my grass was happy... but that's about it...
