These are a second try that took forever to germinate. The first ones didn't take long but didn't grow well. Hopefully these will survive.

Holy Italian is getting a lot of real estate in my garden this year. It didn't take me long to realize they're a winner. Big, sweet and thick walls. Good production.

I need to grow a lot of them. Not only are they great fresh, but the impressed me so much I want enough to paste and can for the sauce that goes into my soppressate. For me these are the perfect sweet red pepper!

For sweet I'm doing mostly the Holy Italian and Nardello with some Chocolate Bell.... Plus one more the family was growing in Sicily that I'm trying for the first time here. Not as huge but super sweet.

The soft cal pellets at the tractor supply will they work for the Holy Italian peppers and squash plants?

I would think it would help with anything that needs calcium and sulfer..... This stuff it PH balanced so it even with the sulfur it shoudn't acidify the soil

Not sure about Nardello I’m not growing that variety. You’ll have to ask @TorontoJoe . In his post #2 above he mentioned he was growing it.

It doesn't have a very thick wall but it makes up for that in productivity. The wall is maybe same as a banana pepper. They also seem to be naturally disease resistant. Very nice to have in an heirloom. I eat as many as I can fresh then pickle tons of them.
