Snow in the South

Got a call from a guy one night in a blizzard whose sow had just had some piglets. He was wondering what he could do, his power was out. I told him he had to find a way to keep them warm. Called him back a little later and asked about the piglets. He said, “They’re in the oven.”
He had them in roasting pans with his gas oven on low and the door open.
Reminds me of one of my favorite portugese dishes, leitao, which is a slow roasted suckling pig. Omg soo good! Would be a nice thing to have slow roasting in the oven while im snowed in. I guess il have to choose the next best thing and cook a bone in pork roast

Well, we are still.in the pink in south central KY. Trees and branches coming down.We are fortunate so far, lost power for minutes but other parts of the county have been out for hours. I checked fig trees in the barn yesterday and adjusted the heater. Tree pots are surrounded by straw and trees themselves are covered in heavy blankets away from heater. Now, to inside house and the rooting figs. I am going to put lights on the ones with roots and leafing out. If we lose power I'll move them nearer our propane heater. Best we can all do. We do have trees popping, falling down and branches coming down. Stay safe

Hey wayo! Thats great, there are lots of good pizza in new haven, modern, Sally's, Zuppardis and pepes, lol. Thats too bad you didn't still live around here.
We moved here to Virginia in 2020. The only pizza here is little censors or dominos but we found that the Market place brand from Walmart is decent and a good price and size for extra large. What town are you from?
