I tried to stop at grocery store but every parking spot was full and they were still coming in. I turned around and left.
Because Joe, in the US we apparently like to get creative and use xylospongiums if we run out of TP and ain't nobody got time for that! Why does snow cause a TP shortage? It’s on the shelves here year round!![]()

Also, I went by the grocery store this evening for regular shopping….the bread was all gone except for a couple packages of keto bread, and this included the bakery area. There was still milk. Not sure about tp. LOL

Do you use 50:50 hydrogen peroxide and water or full strength bleach to disinfect the sponges.Because Joe, in the US we apparently like to get creative and use xylospongiums if we run out of TP and ain't nobody got time for that!![]()
This happened to me one year, I took towels and wrapped the root bases...I cannot remember how long we were out.If we lose power because of ice (which is very likely) I'm afraid my cuttings in cups which have leaves will not survive. Any suggestions on how to keep them warm?
Good to know. Thanks for the suggestion. This happened to me one year, I took towels and wrapped the root bases...I cannot remember how long we were out.
Depending on how far along they are they should be able to make it if in the ambient temps of your home.
Texans also clear out the beef brisket and ribs from the stores in weather like this. If all else fails the smokers won't
That’s just the cutest! The snow has just started, but it's been cold here and forecast to get below zero F. I found out today that my daughter's kids didn't have winter coats. So I dug out my old sewing machine, found some fabric that we had used for the dog's bed, and made them a coat.
Hopefully that will help them survive this cold spell.
Well, they must’ve been really tender to eat.Got a call from a guy one night in a blizzard whose sow had just had some piglets. He was wondering what he could do, his power was out. I told him he had to find a way to keep them warm. Called him back a little later and asked about the piglets. He said, “They’re in the oven.”
He had them in roasting pans with his gas oven on low and the door open.
