Assuming this is true to type, I just had my first ever Smith fig. I totally get the hype now.
This tree can't be older than a year and the fruit already tastes delicious. It was mildly sweet and had a rich raspberry/strawberry flavor. The ostiole also had the most beautiful drop of nectar sealing it shut. There were some other flavor notes in there, but I would need more tastes to figure out.
My wife and daughter shared this fig with me and my daughter immediately asked for more.
