Single node cuttings are a totally different animal and not comparable. And sand, in my experience, is much slower.
BTW I am totally impressed with how your single node is doing.

How long have yours been in water?
A few weeks.. I’ve been trying different ways most water. Moved some to soil. I of course have to try to root every piece…. lol I have another tote outside with around 20 plus another bucket outside.

Right! I'm in Kingman Arizona, my neighbor was telling me about a place around here called Fig Springs....apparently there were fig trees all around. I'll be Fig yard! lol also need to check out Fig Springs!There's no alternative to giving every stick a chance, is there?

Update on #4:
#4 continues to be a beast. It is the most vigorous variety, even more so than Cherry Cordial.
Here are some views around the fig pop bag, so you can get your daily fix of big, fat, hard white ramen roots, lol. Or just enjoy some roots until your cuttings come out of the crisper.

Update on Portuguese #3:
I think I may rename this one Slowpoke…
Roots look great, but it is interesting to note that the bud break/leaves are VERY slow to develop. I would even take it a step farther and say that #3 is the slowest of any variety that I have ever grown to have this tiny level of leaf growth for this level of root growth.

Organized Chaos gardening is happening around May…Moving pots outside, up potting, fertilizing, grafting,air layering, acclimating rooted cuttings, planting etc. That is just figs but not for regular gardening.Chaos gardening might be more accurate…

That sounds nice. There was one i seen on figbid called Portugal 80 that I want, im waiting for it to come around again
