Especially interested in the after fig pop stage. Theres a lot of instructions on how to set them up but not much on how to get them to where theyre outside in the spring

I was actually surprised when I got it, it barely smelled. Could be bc I spent so much time smelling cows or oilfield, but it wasn’t bad at all.

The smell doesn’t bother me but my girls and wife can tell every time I fertilize with it in the garden. Worst though all the critters around smell it too

does anyone know what part of Portugal these came from ? I am actually Portuguese and have family in Portugal with trees inground that are over 75 years old.. was curious to know the location. I am also rooting some cuttings from this 75 year old tree that my uncle brought me directly from his tree.. At some point i will compare it to a few Black Madeira and see the difference.

Origin of these 5 varieties is completely unknown, other than them coming over from Portugal with the previous owner of the property.
We were told the first two two were green figs with red interior, #3 was a dark fig with red interior, Variety #4 looked similar to WM#1, but may have also had some grey striping, and the last one may have more of an amber interior in another green or yellow fig.

Most of my plants are fig pops, so once they get up potted to a tree pot, I’m going to try to slow them down and pace them until spring.

Unknown #3 is supposed to be “a dark fig with Ruby Red pulp”, so I’m really looking forward to it, but I’m not seeing anything happening on it yet, either.
