OMG My Smith Has Rooted

Is this the first Smith you've had Teresa?
It's one that can make you wait a season or two...a little shy.
I had a 4 year old inground at my other house that was too big to dig up and bring here. It made delicious figs. I got it from Big Bill, so when he had his cutting sale last year I purchased one and he also gifted me one. One I traded for the LSU St. Gabriel and I kept one. Should I keep the Saran Wrap on top still or remove it?

Oh nice!

Yeah I'd leave the wrap on it for now. :)
I couldn't be without my Smith. lol

So some varieties root easier than others? I bought smith cuttings from 3 different sources hoping to increase my odds. Hopefully at least 1 will root for me. 🤞leaving the cup sealed won't affect the roots ability to get oxygen? I always wondered about that .

Smith has been one of my strongest growers from cuttings. Second year gave me delicious and abundant figs. I have heard Texas BA-1 is a more hardy Smith? Not in my case. So in my experience Smith roots well and grows well. I hope yours does the same!
