Mustard and Marigold for RKN Control

Am I correct in remembering marigolds when going to seed they will sprout on their own come spring? If this is correct once you till it into the soil you should see them regrow.

They grow back sporadic at best when allowed to drop their seed (at least in my climate). I find it easier to harvest the seed after bloom and start new plants in the Spring and plant where I want them.
