ISO WM #1 and LSU Tiger

Yeah…WM#1 has been weird for me this year….lots of roots but no leaves on three cuttings all from same mother….patiently waiting.

I can only send you a WM#1 air layer later in the season. I have an UNK that is similar to LSU Tiger if you are interested.

I *have* an extra WM#1, but it's in a 7 gallon pot so that might not be very cost effective to ship...I could try setting an air layer when it's had a little longer to get some growth on it! Ive never done that, but I'd never grafted til last week either and I didn't let that stop me. 😂

I got one that’s in a hybrid fig pop that just now swole up a bud. It’s had roots since Dec.
December?! How did you manage to not pull it and feed the stick to the dumpster?! I was just inquiring about my WM#1 thick cutting having a bunch of roots and still no sign of life on top after 30 days in the dirt - where do I purchase some of this patience?

Deal with enough cuttings and it’ll come to some degree. I haven’t done a ton of them, but already seen cuttings sit there for months and not root/rot, seen top growth a couple months after rooting, seen cuttings root then stall for idk how long. Every cutting/tree has its own time.

I decided to recut and stick the last two in a fig pop. I’m a little wary though because they have been trying to root since December. But hey, stranger things have happened 😬
So any update on the rooting of the cuttings?

Cuttings have a personality of their own. Of the ones I did this winter, Black Zadar, Izbat an Naj, C's Red, Ischia Black AD, and Figoin did well. Pingo de Mel and Irainian Candy did not so well. Barbilone and DesTres Esplets are filing charges against me for figocide. PDM, IC, DTE, and Barbie got the old Itailian method of just jamming them in the dirt and survival of the fittest. PDM and IC have the tiniest of bud break showing. They all got the same exact care for rooting. Maybe I will do better next year?

my boujasette grise has been rooted in a pot since literally november and it just now has little green bud breaks. god knows lol
Port #5 was setting in a pot since December, it did nothing for months so I put in the the soil reclaim pile. Found it about a month ago with 2 new buds popping out. I moved it to grow room and still it’s the same two buds going now where in a hurry. I’m fixing to put it in full sun and may God have mercy on it.
