ISO a most elusive ficus.

@NaturesFinest - I know it's a long shot but figure maybe you might know this seller?
I do know this seller, she used to only offer a few very good varities for the climate we live in. But recently she changed the website and now offers a lot of varities that she buys from other webshops for cheap prices and resells for skyhigh prices she even uses the photos from the people she buys them from😅😅

Very nice!

My Dutch is rough but I think one in the link you posted says that one is an edible male fig. I may reach out the them and see if they can certificates to sell outside the EU.
Yeah it basically says its a male tree that does not produce seeds in the fruit, the fruits are sweet and soft. But a male fig that does not produce seed can that even be a male?

Maybe it has a relationship with a specialized Johannes wasp? This is rapidly turning into one of my most favorite threads. Though I have little to offer it's all over my head. I just love the look of Ficus Johannes.

I have seen this cultivar.

If it is a hybrid and the pollen parent is F.j. subsp. afghanistanica, then the taxonomy would be

F.c. subsp. carica x F.j. subsp. afghanistanica 'Silver Lyre'.

But since the actual breeding history is unknown, the correct taxonomy is

Ficus x 'Silver Lyre'.
Thanks yeah little information is out there about this variety.
