My mother tree died and I only replaced it this past year. It is a great variety. The hard skin is definitely prone to splitting though so keep an eye on it.

With that purpleish color, are those breba? Or does its main crop look like that?

That was a main crop fig. I am not sure if it was caprified or not. Probably

I too thought it was a breba. The only time I saw purple rings were on brebas. So some caprified figs will make purple rings.?

The cool coastal climate in SB often brought out the purple ring in some varieties.
