I personally prefer to sanitize my cuttings and use Clonex. I have had much higher success rate when I did this, and I had 100% success rate when I rooted in DE in this winter. I tried aeroponic rooting without sanitizing some cuttings too. Huge mistake! They all died due to (fungus?) infection. Think about who has the best reputation for high quality cuttings? Harvey. Harvey used two different chemicals (he mentioned before, but I don't remember which two) to sanitize his cuttings.
