Dr. Gowaty Breba

Wow! I like those pics. I have a young Dr Gowaty, it has a few double bumps right now but I'm really not expecting much fruit until next year. I didn't know the pulp looked like that. I thought it has a light colored pulp like a honey fig. This is a pic from the company where I bought mine. Maybe because yours is riper, or because it's breba is why it looks darker.

Dr Gowaty must grow well in Tennessee. @2Angels likes it and I think is also in Tennessee.
I got my cutting from @2Angels! It grows like a weed and the figs are large and tasty. My main crop figs last year were more the color of what you showed above. I'm not sure if the color of this one is because it is a breba fig. Or Angel thought it might be because of the very cool nights we have had here until just the past day or two. Or maybe I just let it over ripen too much? Not sure, but it still tasted very good. Here is a picture from one of my main crop Dr. Gowaty from last summer:

Dr. Gowaty is in the Atreano family of figs, is it not? I don’t have Dr. G but I am growing Mittica which I believe is of the same basic type and am looking forward to my few breba that are maturing well currently! I’ll be posting updates on it as they come!
