Black Celeste

Yes, that's what I heard too - and that IC has larger fruit.

Regular Celeste though has an edge in terms of cold-hardiness. I read an LSU article some time ago that regular Celeste is the most cold hardy of all Celeste types. I'm curious if this has been confirmed by our cold areas growers?
I have an improved Celeste that we just put inground, will that be as cold hard?

That looks delicious and early. I know that someone fairly close to me grows in in ground and on my side of the state we are a little cooler than you are.

I'm sure that I am out of room, but Black Celeste along with Campaniere are the two that I am after this cutting season.
Yea I’ll be looking for Campaniere as well. I put a 15 gallon in ground this spring and it died out of no where.

I have Celeste and Black Celeste and just received an Improved Celeste. What is different about The One?

My Campaniere cutting didn’t root this year. I still need it.

Im growing my IC for in-ground too, Teresa, so I hope so. The article said that all Celeste varieties were cold-hardy, but that original Celeste was the most. I hope some of our in-ground growers of it could chime in.
I have improved Celeste in ground outside of Hershey and my tree came back without much die back this spring.

Yeah, I lost my Campaniere cuttings this past winter. That along with Irene's Black Greek was what really irritated me. I replaced the Irene's and it's growing well in a 15g.

My Blue Celeste and Black Celeste are still small. I can't wait to taste them. I have been looking for the blk Celeste for a little while now and finally got it.
