Oh man! Ill post what they are expecting for mass: not as bad as yours, but my husbands flight out here may get cancelled, thr airline emailed him offering to change his flight day for free....so...

I’ll have to talk to my husband about seeing if there’s enough space in the laundry room. Ryan Hall’s video I just watched has my area getting 13.4 in. Snow then .09 ice.

Yeah, I was worried about how cold it was in the garage, so I brought the four lignified baby trees from the garage into the house. Figured I’ll get them started slowly and just consider it a head start.

I opened my fig hut to add blankets on top of my trees and seen some mold where I pruned them. Condensation is in there so I left it open for tonight to dry out some and will close it back up tomorrow before the storm. I’m gonna have to spray with hydrogen peroxide mixture after storm.

Bringing them in the laundry room tomorrow. They’re going to stay in there for a while. Every night starting tomorrow is in teens and single digits till next Saturday.

I’ve done all I reasonably can and know to do. I’ve taken backup cuttings of my in ground figs and added extra mulch. I’ve wrapped my figs in pots best I can in blankets then closed up my fig hut with tarps. Filled my greenhouse with other plants. Now I hope it’s not as bad as they’re calling for here. A half inch plus of ice is just too much and then lows in single digits isn’t going to be good for anyone.

My neighbor who works part time at a liquor store says the wine and vodka are flying off the shelf! nothing like beeing prepared for the big storm!

Pretty site. Our birds are fighting over seed too. Cardinals are always pretty but looking exceptionally good with white background.

Piled up several feet of snow on another fig tree. Added the tarp late last night in the dark, so no insulation.

16” of snow so far.

More than 10+ inches more expected.

Shoveled twice since 9a, and it doesn’t even look like it was shoveled even once.

6 inches as of 12:30. shoveled the first round. the worst of it supposed to be from 1-5 pm. we'll see how we go. I almost couldnt get out the door cause my storm door swings out lol.

For the first time ever, the snow was so high, I could not open my CAR door because of the snow!

And I have an SUV which you have to step up into, not a lower sedan. This level of snow here is INSANE.

the drifts here are like 3+ feet rn. wind is crazy. curious to see how this shakes out
