That’s the problem I’m running into. Apparently people thought I needed lots of practice rooting this year lol.Never tired of giveaways! But always short on room!
@Opiem10 @FigVicious Were you guys able to taste any of them?
Topfigs, there are some thin cuttings that might be great for grafting or grafting practice.I’m with OAT—can I grab one skinny cutting of each variety for grafting if you’ve got any available?
WhiteCliffsFigs (and all members),I would l love a big package to use for rootstock mostly, and obviously to try as well. But I don’t “need” them so I’ll let others go first and if you end up with a bunch of extra I’ll be more than happy to take them!
Bocephus,Since I really suck at all the games we play, especially picking flying deer, I'd love a shot at these. Particularly #3 and 4. I'd be happy to pay shipping. I love the games and giveaways yall do here.
My final answer to the question you are going to ask us is straight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail...Bocephus,
I am already thinking of a devious game to get all interested parties involved. So easy, yet so hard!!!! Hee, hee, hee...
Sounds exciting to me!!!WhiteCliffsFigs (and all members),
I think we might just have enough UNKNOWN PORTUGUESE cuttings to give away. Here is a summary of today's FigVicious / Opiem10 haul:
Variety #1: DeAngelo’s Baga Verde------------------121 cuttings and 1 thin cutting for grafting only
Variety #2: Frank’s Irma Fraca------------------------75 cuttings
Variety #3: DeAngelo’s Rubi Escuro------------------107 cuttings and 9 thin cuttings for grafting only
Variety #4: Frank’s A Fera-----------------------------219 cuttings (most are really SWEET)
Variety #5: Portuguese Profundo Desconhecido----32 cuttings (I would try to put one cutting in each package)
So the total tally is 563 cuttings for half a day's work. I thought we had more, but that may clue you in to the size of these cuttings.
Some are big enough to cut in half. Logs are available if anyone wants to try their hand at single node cuttings (reach out to goodnessatlanta for his opinions and help).
That would be awesome!Topfigs, there are some thin cuttings that might be great for grafting or grafting practice.
Awesome alliteration.A Plethora of Portuguese Possibilities please put me in the he pot.
