Maybe you need to up your game with the traps. In Texas we have these pen traps for wild hogs. You could build one for raccoons and catch a whole mess of those rascals. Use chicken wire instead of hog wire.

The raccoons here can tear through chicken wire with little effort. They get massive and they're smart... I mean really, REALLY smart. They could do my taxes but they want to be paid in figs!

They're very sturdy. I've tried the cheaper, overseas ones and they may be good for an opossum but the metal is so thin they get out.
