How Do You Eat Them?

Y’all have to designate a (sharing) tree like BT or large honey figs (I think the critters know those are bland as well) for the birds and critters. They’ll be cute again.

I'm interested in trying Hoshigaki-style curing - dip in boiling water to kill bacteria and break down cuticle, hang in low-temp/controlled humidity (vivosun vcure or the like), and gently massaging daily until dried. Sugar should "bloom" on outside...
Sounds great first I've herd of that process hope thier 🍬

They cure Persimmons kinda like this, 6 Persimmons can sell for as much as $1200 USD.

I just thought of this now, I also prefer fresh figs at room temperature.

The wife loves dried figs, more so than fresh figs. I’m the opposite.

For me, I find that flavours aren’t as intense when they’re cold. Not just for figs. I find this with many foods.

I like my figs with friends on the patio, with refreshments! Especially with Signor Massara as he gets very nostalgic! I hope he is still with us when they ripen this season!
