Lordy, sugar overload. As little kids in South MS, we had them in a bowl with cream and sugar.
Sounds great first I've herd of that process hope thierI'm interested in trying Hoshigaki-style curing - dip in boiling water to kill bacteria and break down cuticle, hang in low-temp/controlled humidity (vivosun vcure or the like), and gently massaging daily until dried. Sugar should "bloom" on outside...
They cure Persimmons kinda like this, 6 Persimmons can sell for as much as $1200 USD.I'm interested in trying Hoshigaki-style curing - dip in boiling water to kill bacteria and break down cuticle, hang in low-temp/controlled humidity (vivosun vcure or the like), and gently massaging daily until dried. This is the very simple process...........there was some YouTube videos on how the High$ ones were done. If I remember right it was quite a experience. Months of massaging, dedicated structures in elevated more mountainous terrain. They packed 6 to a box for shipping and the boxes looked very rich.
Cheese, olives and just for me. Hot peppers on that platter would be delish.
Perfect
I just thought of this now, I also prefer fresh figs at room temperature.
The wife loves dried figs, more so than fresh figs. I’m the opposite.
