Reserve pricing on figbid-why

Good afternoon figfanatic friends!

Please accept my apology for the site being in maintenance mode for most of the day. Dev added the new feature last night and didn't switch the site back. I tested the new feature with an admin account (I don't see maintenance mode from admin account) and everything looked good. Didn't find out until a seller called an hour ago. I can say it's dev's fault but I am to blame for not testing with a regular account. Sorry about that.

Still waiting to hear from dev to get a full accounting but if any sellers were affected financially please let me know through the site, I'll reimburse and add credit for the lost time.

@NYCfigs please add ability to block users (sellers/buyers). Would be easier to purchase if I don’t have to scroll through sellers I don’t like.
@Higueras figBid already has the ability to block other members. Visit the Manage figBidders section of your account.

If you're wanting to block individual seller listings from appearing in your search results simply visit the Advanced Search section and type the username(s) into the Exclude Sellers from Search field. If you regularly want to exclude the same sellers' listings from your search results just tick the box that says Save this search to Favorites. You can also click a link at the top of the search results page to save the search to your favorites.

@NYCfigs I tried blocking that FFF seller but he is still showing up when I browse.
As for the saved search method, that seems like a round about way to actually make the block feature work. I just want the blocked person to not show up when i browse while still being able to search for varieties.

Also, it seems that if I go the saved search route to exclude those sellers, and I decide to search for a variety, then the seller im trying to block shows up again on my search results 😤…so it’s not a very effective method.

Thanks for looking into this. I strongly believe this is one of the MOST DESIRED features by the buyers/users of figbid.

Saving a search excluding them is exactly what the blocked feature should be doing already so I can browse freely.

I’ve never tried to do this but I’ll take a look a bit later. Has anyone else been able to make this work?

It seems that feature is intended for sellers to block buyers 🤔. So it doesn’t really work for the purpose we are talking about. I added fff to my blocked list and also added them as excluded from results and saved it as a favorite search but when I go to browse, the mf-in listings are still there😖. @NYCfigs

@Higueras
Alan, I noticed Vince #3 is still on your wish list. Did your previous one not work out for you?

Beat Ramon has been an absolute beast for me—it’s already put on about 3 feet of growth this season. I actually have a super healthy, well-rooted Vince #3 cutting available if you’re still looking for one. Just let me know if you’re interested.
