Newer retail website

If the photos were 1st put on theirfigs, wouldnt the photos now be owned by them since their membership claims the rights to all photos on their site. Ive seen fishy fineprint, and its off topic but can anyone confirm theirfigs now owns the rights to all photos on their site?! Lordy scandelous fig world of scammers and sheisters. Runs deep braz

I'm just glad that Fig Fanatic is the only fig forum so we don't need to worry about such things.....

Figs4all has the microphone and I'm standing next to him in the photo.
He runs a great community fig group on FB and my friend is very generous with distributing his unique heirloom varieties.
Don't get the two confused with each other.
Super fishy site creating a business with a play on an active name in the community AND stealing Ross' photos.
Give these points would you trust what you from them to be received or true to type?
i bought cuttings from figS4all and they were great and he gave me a bunch extra. Super excited for his flatbush red
Wouldn’t Ross’s photos be copy right protected ?
yes, I contacted him and i am helping him submit a DCMA takedown (I am a copyright lawyer but not HIS lawyer, just a fig enjoyer in this case) the website looks like its provided by cloudflare which should take it down with a DCMA request, hopefully.

I don't buy cuttings from anyone I don't "know" through the forums. That's just paranoid old me. They get extra cred if they have a standalone website, but still have to be known. Some may not be active forum members, like FignFruit or Ross, but they are well known members of the wider community. Sourcing is a big deal to me, I mostly source from OTBP and Harvey, even now. I like to multi source so I can compare.

Why risk it with an unknown seller if there is any question? The cutting is just a fraction of the cost when you factor in all the time and expense.

I think this is very wise..... Practically, do we really need to stray very far to find great fig? This is probably one of best reasons to be part of a healthy community of like-minded people. :)

I would probably stay away and it seems everyone else thinks so 🤣. They don't seem to have their own photos, I don't see any credit or mention of the people they stole them from, and there is the fig4all name trying to use the rep of Figs4all. That is quite the coincidence🧐....

Also, side note does the real Figs4all know about this website, if I were him, I would like to know about someone else using your name.

I bet if you tried hard enough, you could find someone on this forum who is willing to give, trade, or sell you whatever fig you're looking for, in 95% of cases. Of the other 5% of figs no one has, the huge collectors on the forum are actively seeking and acquiring those varieties, which should be available in a season or two.....
