GxY

I wish it wasn't too late to take pics. GXY is my first capri. I'm hoping for good things this year.

Does anyone have intel on how long pollen can remain viable? Or methods to preserve it? Vac seal and freeze maybe?

I was looking at your original post. Is the profici ripe now?
If so yes. remove the pollen and pollinate your figs.
Yes I noticed it was ripe when I was watering just before dark. I did not pick it. I can pick it tomorrow and inject the other figs. I don't know which figs are good caprified. I guess I will inject I-258, Violeta, and EBT. I will figure it out tomorrow.

I find most to be better pollinated. Best way to tell which ones you personally like better pollinated.
Is to pollinate a couple of each variety you have and compare them with the ones you did not pollinate.
But you more than likely won't be able to compare them at the same time as pollinated figs seem to ripen faster.
Good luck and remember a little goes a long way. :)

My plan is to do like the guy did in this video. The only syringes I have are very small. Maybe it will work.

Size of the syringe does not matter much. You may just have to fill it quite often if pollinating a lot of figs. If you have extra.
Poke the entrance hole in the eye of the fig with one before injecting with the other. It helps keep you from clogging the needle.
Can't wait to see your pollinated fig photo's. :)

Approximately how much sooner can one expect a pollinated fig to ripen vs one that’s not?
