Need lime for the peat moss. It is acidic..Start complaining to the big box stores to stock ProMix and when no one buys any it’ll be discounted at the end of the season. I got Peat Moss for $10 a bag at Walmart.
Correct. I am switching from Dolomitic to Calcitic limestone this year.Need lime for the peat moss. It is acidic..

That’s no joke. I had to order 4cu ft of course perlite as there is nowhere near here that stocks it. Shipping was basically 1.5x the cost of the perlite.Certainly she wouldn’t want you to pay for shipping![]()

Yea I live in a smallish place, about 10k population give or take. The bad part is it’s an oilfield town or was so there isn’t too much diversity of what’s here and the nearest decent sized city is an hr and a half away so it’s a drive to get anything close to niche. The only store I could find that had the perlite had to have it shipped to the store and was literally the same price as product and shipping so meh.Amazon and the like have been amazing for convenience…. But in some ways I think we’ve also shot ourselves in the foot. So many stores, even just don’t stock lots of goods anymore. Especially niche items. So we have no choice but to have stuff shipped. I live in a big city. I can only imagine it’s more difficult in a smaller community.
Lately I’m seeing places charge to have stuff shipped to the store. So you have to pay for shipping… and go pick it up![]()
Right about 3 hrs. Would be worth it to me if I could con the old lady into the trip and I had a truck lol.@Jigfig
How far are you from Noble? Maybe worth a trip if getting a yard for wholesale?
