I’ve seen news reports stating that bats are eating them.I've seen worse--even in my yard. I didn't do anything, and by the grace of gawd the following year not as bad and now I very rarely see them. I don't know if predators have discovered them as food or if the NE winters was just too much for the latern fly to handle. Either case I suppose I lucked out.
Ain't that the truth, if it's not some bug, or fish it's some strange weedDang, I wonder how long before they make it over here.
It really does seem like every year it's something new.
We do have those here.Ain't that the truth, if it's not some bug, or fish it's some strange weed
last week i read about hammerhead worms, not only do they feed on beneficial worms they are toxic
Frankly not much. It was worried they'd be a big deal but as of now it seems like only an issue for grape vines.Stupid question.... But we don't have them here. What do they do to the trees and plants?

I just take a shop vac and vacuum them up, then kill once theyre all rounded up by tossing them in the freezer. Then leave em. Out for the birds so they learn to eat them
Wonder if they would be good to bury them in the garden for organic fertilizer?Way to not waste your bugs!![]()

I wonder if chickens would eat them, they'll usually eat anything. if the chickens don't eat them that's a good indication they are bad.I would imagine it would be a lot like shellfish fert
Don't see a reason why they wouldn'tI wonder if chickens would eat them, they'll usually eat anything. if the chickens don't eat them that's a good indication they are bad.

I have seen them eat anything from frogs to acorns to other chickens...but there was a bug or something I threw in that they just left alone.
