Hmm? Not looking for a Bacca. But I think Kabri Palmata is pretty rare at this point. A couple members here are trialing it.I don't think he has a list..... If I'm not mistaken he's looking for something "special", Like that secret, haute couture fig that you have stashed out back and been keeping all to yourself.... until now![]()
You may be surprised.Right!?!?
@rnexus I apologise if I derailed anything... I really do want to see what wonders our members are hiding in the back room...
I get excited.... Bad Joe... bad!
I have the Kuromitsu but it is still young. The picture is from 2 months ago. Maybe will have a cutting to trade in a month or two...
CoolProbably something like Kuromitsu, Ehmari, or Nero di Rocca.
Am I warm?
Rare is not a characteristic I hold in the highest regard. Sure it's nice if you're selling something, but many other qualities are far more important for me.I think my rarest that I have a couple of is DE CÀ.
I do have a list, but I'm more interested in hearing from serious collectors that know they have something special. I'll go searching for what's on my list soon enough, but those aren't necessarily the ones I want the most. The ones I want the most are probably the ones I don't even know about. So I'm hoping some White Baca this autumn might help. (As is already stated in a previous thread, I do have a large quantity of hard to find varieties as well)Do you have a list of what you’re looking for? Maybe that’d be easier and shorter haha
I'll message you the list of what's currently in my collection. What do you have to trade for ones you’re looking for? A thread within a thread. #figception
All good. This can be a multi thread thread. Talk away. It certainly brings more attention to my trade request..lolRight!?!?

It actually ripened too but didn't have any flavor. Next year...That's a lot of fig for that little tree. Well done!
Like I said…you have them all.Cool
I've got more Nero di Rocca plants than the OG Don has. Kuromitsu doesn't entice me. Ehmari, sure I'll buy one this winter.
I have an unknown variety I got from a customer of mine called huge Italian unk. He has a fairly large collection and he said he brought this one back himself while traveling to visit family and supposedly it’s his best fig. Should be fruiting shortly so I’m excited to see what happens. Hope it’s not a dud@rnexus
You should come to some of the Figfests. I'm starting to see people bringing in Unknown varieties from their homelands. Hard to tell if they are special yet but fun and interesting to trial.
I should! However I am so far behind with general work and maintenance around the property I have no idea when I will even want to go out, let alone be able to. The only days I take off are when my body won't cooperate or something family related. Maybe next year will be different, but as it is it looks like I have at least 2.5 years of non stop work, and that's if I can keep going steady without some major setbacks. For example, I bought a new starter to replace an older one on my Cat 955L crawler loader. The new starter failed on the 4th start. It nearly destroyed a large part of the engine, but I acted quick and it only took out a cable, a battery disconnect switch, and an amp meter gauge. However I spent the last 2 days tracking down all the problems, replacing all the broken parts.....and I'm almost finished. This is an example of a minor setback. This is the type of luck I have consistently, though at least half the time it's my fault, but not this time!@rnexus
