Last week I collected a few Caprifigs full of pretty wasps, and took updated photos. As I walked past my Panachee tree on my way to review a couple, I stopped to look at a number of figs growing quite fast now, but what had me stopping longer was seeing wasps trying to enter 25mm and 20mm in dia figs. I took multiple photos, and had the wind not been as strong, I would have set up the tripod and videoed some of it. There was already a wasp stuck in the eye, but it certainly did not stop the second one from trying multiple times over about 15 minutes, to enter the 25mm fig.

I am in Australia, it is 19 days into summer and 34C here today. Just a tad warmer than where you are..... Things are booming ahead for our trees.

I know your seasons are reversed, but I still thought it would’ve taken place earlier… not so far into summer. it is certainly more than a tad bit warmer. Our overnight forecast for Saturday is -17C The wasps would not be happy here 
It is interesting, we are about a week earlier than last season with wasps from Profichi, and many trees are carrying massive Profichi crops, when I step up to cut twigs of figs to take home, wasps are flying all around, and landing on arms etc, it's cool to watch and experience.I know your seasons are reversed, but I still thought it would’ve taken place earlier… not so far into summer. it is certainly more than a tad bit warmer. It’s a splitter here. Figs are good when you finally get a properly ripe one.
But it does not happen often.

Mine has put on lots of figs...none ever make it.I still have my Meteorito. Not sure why

Panache here did quite well potted, although the figs have a long hang time. It is a splitter so I do duct tape the ostioles on some when they start to split and I’m not above dragging into the garage to wait out a 3 day rain. I intend to pollinate it just to see how it tastes.

Maybe.... But I have unloaded ito's before. Not all figs are made for this climate. Angelito is really the only one that's been outstanding here.
