WOW! That’s fast, just 4 days

Two of my tomato seeds I started on Sunday the 15th, have sprouted. The Gialla and the Domingo. Just waiting on the Marglobe and the Holly Italian pepper.

Do you grow them in a bin or something to give them humidity? Heat mat set at what temp please?

I’m going to try growing some tomatoes indoors which I have never done before so any tips would be most appreciated!

They sprout fast. Peppers are slooooow. So far all but 2 peppers have sprouted. And my purple tomatillo which just has like. A terrible germ rate. 1/6 seeds i planted sprouted.

Humidity dome until they sprout. Then take it off and get a fan on them and REALLY close to the light. Heat mat until they sprout too at somewhere in the 70s. Fan is under emphasized for seedlings. It helps them get stronger and encourages them to grow nice and healthy

The heat Matt is set for 75°

I started mine in packs put in 1020 tray. Cover with upside down 1020 tray. Keep warm until they pop up and uncover. Then bottom water as needed. Yes a fan is needed to make them stronger and should help with moisture problems.

I have 2 heat mats from Amazon. Usual cheapo stuff. Last year they kept my figs at 80 but this year about 72. And that's in a room that's about 68.

No. That's all they do wide open 24/7. They lay on metal shelving that cools it some I suppose.

This was the quickest germination of a pepper seed I’ve ever seen. Only one week. Usually it’s 2+ weeks. Holly Italian Pepper

I dont fertilize until their first true leaves form

Indoors can be tricky... at least it is for me. It took me a long time to find varieties that stay small enough and produce well.
