Wish me luck for the sake of @ktrain

Oh we are basically neighbors!

I have killed the last 5 Chicago hardy cuttings I received, so frustrated won't get into it, so in response I rage shoved a few cuttings into the ground outside near my trees and they are somehow looking alive 🤨

You need somebody to send you a rooted layer. I may know someone who can help. Send me a DM and maybe I can connect you. :)

If your current candidates don't make it

Always nice to hear from someone in the same area!I I feel youI it gets frustrating when u get repeated failure. This year I changed the strategy to graft every node I can to increase my chances of success and had couple pieces left so I stuck them in ground. Best of luck to your Chicago hardy cuttings and don't lose the hope, there is always next year

Wish you best of luck.
May all your rooting attempts be successful y’all.
Happy Friday. Oh, and temperatures are heading higher and will be in the thirties, and might hit 40F°
YeY!
Thank you, it so exciting this time of the year when u start seeing tiny little green buds even with my reading glasses, signals new life . Hopefully your season starts shortly. May you get an abundance of figs

I think most of us have had a variety like that. I've had a few that I just couldn't seem to find success with.

Craven's Craving (poor Christopher. He has been so kind to me, but I am still trying to root it! I hope this time I will be successful. I am going to graft this time as well to raise my odds.)
HdA - I have had the tree growing twice and both died for no apparent reason. SMH

I wish you a lot of luck this year. The odds are in your favor this time. WM#1 is definitely worth it. It's still my fav Adriatic type and I have far too many of those.

Thanks! I tried several approaches so far, haven't done grafting yet, hoping direct planting is successful. Anyway one thing I'm not is a quitter I will keep at it until I see results.

@2Angels I think I have an extra Craven's Craven you can have if you are not successful rooting a cutting.

@Figneer I have an extra WM #1 that I rooted last year that I can send you if you need it. Just cover the shipping cost and it is in a 4x9 tree pot. It needs to be put in a larger pot, and I should have done that in the fall. Let me know if you are interested and send me a PM.

@Drew351 thank you so much for the offer, I truly appreciate it , will wait to see if any of the grafts survive. I might get back with you … who knows 😀 Good bless!
