Why is this guy purple

Ischia blacm was setting some figs and then they turned purple way little. Is that normal? Haven't seen it before

Mine rarely do this but when I see it, they almost always end up dropping prematurely. No clue why though, I’m guessing some kind

interesting, as you can see the other one on the other branch is also purple before even swelling

I have a tree doing this too. It set figs then dropped all its leaves so I was assuming that its a stress response to. We will see what happens!
