My all-around favorite (taste, vigor, earliness, productivity, rain resistance, pest resistance, etc.) is VDB.
Not to mention very easy to find and cheap to buy. I recently culled mine that wasn't producing well. I may hit you up for a twig at some point![]()
What's the ripening time on that one for you?Portugal 80

Unk Prosciutto, ripens well in cooler temperatures, tastes great and when dehydrated it's on the next level.
GEEZ - So in this scenario do we have to destroy the rest of our collection?!
I would have to pick Rionon Santana because it's up there and although even I wouldn't rank it as the best of the best it was my find.
I'll just go over here by the destroyed fig pile and grab some cutti.... I mean sticks for... a...
barbecue!
Of course.I thought the scenario was you pick one and then send me the rest?
And no worries…. I already have RS![]()
Love my UP. I rank it higher than VDB tastewise, but some split for me occasionally, and wasps like it while they don't touch my VDB. It loves to grow tall quickly, which is a challenge in the grow tent, I can't tame it as well as my VDB tree.Unk Prosciutto, ripens well in cooler temperatures, tastes great and when dehydrated it's on the next level.
It takes about 85-90 days to ripen. Last season I woke up my trees later than usual and I had fruit mid September so this year I'm anticipating beginning of September. What's the ripening time on that one for you?
