How are you managing your fig fanaticism until spring? Do you do cuttings over winter?

I have a couple of landscapers I hire when I do moving, fertilizing, uppotting & storing. This yr is the 1st yr Im pruning my trees.I sold a couple hundred trees to a Fig Nursery here in NJ. Part of the deal was that he could get the cuttings from my remaining 200 mature trees. He pruned them patiently & offered to put the trees in the garage as well. So that was a relief. However I got ho stop shooting myself in the foot by rooting more cuttings.i currently have about 300 cuttings rooting

I do the Perlite Vermiculite method. I also included my garage at my parents and I have my garage filled w about 100 treesYou're currently rooting around 300 cuttings!?!?! You're going to fit in so well here!

OK... I know there will be people who tell you that you have a problem.... They're probably correct! But you're in a safe place here!
That's so cool. I like what you're doing with your local nursery. I do have a friend nearby with an old family run Italian Italian nursery. A tiny place... and there's no agreement... A few times a year I bring them fig trees and when I visit they hook me up with soil and stuff.... and occasionally we hang out in the back for a glass of vino and a panino
Giovanni still works there every day at the age of 83. His son Antonio doing the heavy lifting now... It's a nice place to hang out for someone like me who doesn't get much hang-out time.... there's a bench inside the front door where the older neighbourhood residents will sit all day and shoot the breeze... Mostly about how much more things cost than they used to!
