Not sure how many. But I know of a few that signed up after he talked to them.Thank you for the warm welcome, @TorontoJoe , @ktrain. @Figless , and @Figgerlickinggood
My nickname is Kat, so the "paw" just seemed a better fit. I'm versed in plumeria (considered a tropical succulent,) and grafting plumeria. Been switching my focus to edible plants. Feeling a bit challenged attempting to graft woody stems. I've yet to try my hand at grafting figs. Last year, I was able to graft a plum scion onto my mom's Santa Rosa tree and some apple scions onto my neighbor's mislabeled apple tree (purchased as Asian pear,) but some of the scions failed.
Figless is responsible for my being here! My first time attending the CRFG-West L.A. chapter and he was the friendliest person there. I'm curious about how many CRFG people signed up here after he talked to them.
200? I am hoping to stay under 100 this year. But the season is not over yet. Happy rooting.I'm excited to read/learn more. I'm about to start the last 70 cuttings for this year (200 total for this year lol). I'm in year 4 of my fig journey =)
Might be Harvey's last sale. So many have stocked up on his cutting's. Hard to resist a good sale like his.I was only going to do 128 but then Harvey happened. I've got 82 established varieties and this year trying 39 more varieties![]()
I really hope whoever buys the farm keeps employing his staff and learns how he did things. If I had room, there are several more varieties still available (like Rigato del Salento) that I'd snag.Might be Harvey's last sale. So many have stocked up on his cutting's. I keep looking at back it. Since he has many still available. But have other plans I need the space for.![]()
If I had room I would buy cutting's of every variety he has. But I would also have kept all my seedling's. Space is always the limiting factor.I really hope whoever buys the farm keeps employing his staff and learns how he did things.
