Welcome... everyone!

Thank you! Happy to try and learn more and chat figs. I’m in Southern California and am relatively new to growing figs, but I’ve kept a garden of veggies and small fruits before

I purchased some smaller trees that have produced fruit, then some rooted cuttings that haven’t produced yet. Current collection:

Lebanese red (not sure which)
Violette de Bordeaux
Kadota

I258 rooted cutting
White Madeira #1 rooted cutting

I want to add a few more but don’t have that much space. I could probably manage 10 controlled sized potted trees. I may try and get a small green ischia or white Adriatic type and a CDD. I recently tried a CDD mutante that was insane and it wasn’t even fully ripe.

I got here by searching for info on caprifigs and fig wasps in my area since I’ve heard they are around. I’m very interested in pollination not only for the cool naturey science of it, but also for the extra flavor blast to the fruits.. so if anyone has anything to teach about that I’m allll ears

Thanks for welcoming me!

Red Lenanese is one of my favorites...I have the one from Bass, https://treesofjoy.com/
It's a really good fig.
