I mean, I know I should be worried about the people in the region of today's Mt. Etna eruption....

I posted yesterday on this and apparently it's a pretty regular occurrence there. I had no idea.

I remember when I was a kid we would wake up in the morning and have the streets of our town covered with the ashes ( lots of minerals ) of Mt Etna . We are 200 km away from it . This is why Sicily is blessed with such a fertile land .

I need a truckload of that volcanic ash for its amazing mineral content as a fertilizer. Lucky bastids! It's raining down Gods free fertilizer!!!

Etna is always smoking and pretty amazing to see. You can see old lava flows all around it. I was lucky to go to Sicily in 2017. Here are a couple of pictures I took from the Southeastern side.
