Amazing. Did you find the eye opened up more than usual with all the rain? Its been a rainy week here with 2-3 days of lots of rain. Vince #3 held up well no splitting which is a good trait. The wet weather did a number on the outside of the fig. It definitely won't win any beauty contests for appearance but for taste its a winner. Days to ripen from a bump 96 days.

It looks
I didn't notice any difference with the eye. I left some to try and dry on the tree after the rain.Amazing. Did you find the eye opened up more than usual with all the rain?
Actually, it was Nelson from Mississauga, Ontario, who found this fig and made it available to the fig enthusiast world. Let's give credit to the generous man who made it happen for all of us.I love how this variety gets so many sugar spots at its base really delicious fig. Thanks for making it available @Tinyfish
I was just messaging with Nelson today and he is glad to hear Vince #3 is doing well for everyone. Nelson through me shared this with some different members a few years ago to see how it would do growing in different locations.Actually, it was Nelson from Mississauga, Ontario, who found this fig and made it available to the fig enthusiast world. Oh wow those look like huge breba. Too bad it was given away! I got a few Vince 3 yesterday and they are incredible. Much bigger than my etnas too.I was just messaging with Nelson today and he is glad to hear Vince #3 is doing well for everyone. I have some pictures of Vince #2 to share but sadly the tree was given away by mistake and not by Nelson. Vince #2 had an outstanding breba crop that was as good as the main crop.

Thanks Nelson for making this available to us.Its crazy how the same variety can look different depending on the year.
Heres a delicious brebaMy pleasure my friend, im happy other fig lovers and enjoying it as much as I have the last decade. Its so true the pulp gets ever darker as it starts to cool down and I have had it more golden like a honey fig the odd year when it ripens in mid Aug. Brebas are really tasty specially as the tree ages and large too.

I used to get around a dozen breba on my mother tree more or less. It was pretty root bound but they were large similar size to a Dalmatie breba flavor is similar to maincrop but not as intense berry more of a honey berry i would say. I have taken allot of cuttings off my trees last couple years so have not got much breba last couple seasons but they are delicious.@Nelson How productive of a Breba crop are you getting from Vince#3?
