This one ripened this morning in the high tunnel on a first year tree and had a thick texture with strawberry notes.  Definitely has potential for southern climates too.

Very nice. I have noticed that it’s prone to the sugar spots as it matures. Not that this is really a con….. just an observation

I like seeing the sugar spots as it's a great visual indicator of ripeness.

I hope the raccoons don’t figure that one out

My God Joe what a beautiful looking fig. With such a perfect heart shape, and lovely looking color inside and out. Your photogenically fantastic looking fig has me drooling at 3:00 a.m. this morning. As you said it's the Fig that dreams are made of.

This will be my first tasting experience with Vince#3 fig . I have heard good things about it and seen some finger licking good pictures .
This is from a cutting that I rooted in November. The tree is just over a foot high and is bearing 5 figs at the moment. I have high hopes but being realistic that the tree being very young will not show its full potential .

Is Vince #3 a really good Adriatic? I've been thinking about getting another Adriatic, like Angelito, NV1, or Unk Prosciutto. Where do I find one of these Vince #3?

I got my cutting from a local here in the Toronto area . Don’t see it often for sale but the occasional offering is sometimes available.

Finally did taste a Vice#3 albeit not intentionally. I knocked accidentally the fig out of the tree while putting an organza bag on it.
The fig was juicy and had a light strawberry taste. My wife said she could smell a hint of banana ( I didn’t).It had a light seed crunch and the skin was very delicate. Considering the young age of the tree at about 6 months old it was pretty good . It still has 4 figs on it
and can’t wait to see if the flavour will be different as the temperature are getting warmer.
